The Second Annual Windham Farm Chef Workshop hosted by Cafe Services in conjunction with The Windham County Farm and Food Network brought local Chefs together to exchange ideas and prepare dishes using local produce.
Inter-lakes School District Food Service Program, managed by Café Services has partnered with Picnic Rock Farms through NH Farm to Schools to bring more fresh fruits and vegetables into the school lunch program.
The First Annual Barrington Food Pantry Soup, Chili & Chowder Festival was a great success! Thirty One people participated and donations reached $775.00, canned food items were received at the door.
Students were challenged to write menus that conformed to standards for the school lunch program and incorporated as many local ingredients as possible.
The first week of April was International Week at Middlebury Union High School. The cafeteria served featured foods from around the world, with items such as Ratatouille, Chicken Pad Thai & More!
Cafe' Services now offers a variety of environmentally friendly products to all locations company wide. Our standard disposable products consist of 100% biodegradable plates, cups, salad containers and Napkins.
Giving students hands-on experience with a school garden encourages support for local agriculture, reinforces pride in ownership and promotes healthy, sustainable lifestyles.
