In the Community
The First Annual Barrington Food Pantry Soup, Chili & Chowder Festival was a great success! Donations reached $775.00 and canned food items were received at the door. The Best Chili award went to a Barrington Student! Five delicous soups were brought in for sampling from a teacher at the middle school and a Chamber of Commerce Member. Cafe' Services helped the cause by providing local entertainment with background music for socializing. Be Free Community Church generously donated baked goodies for dessert and the American Legion came to support the cause along with many local residents. M. Saunders generously provided fresh produce for the vegetable soup. The Benefit was very successful and rewarding, this was a great example of community partnering for a common goal!
