Congratulations, Marion “Gram” Pouliot!
Fresh Picks Café food service associate, Marion “Gram” Pouliot, does more than just help lunchtime go smoothly at Pittsfield Middle School. She greets kids by name with a smile, spots them for snack money when they forget their change, and cheers them on at community sporting events. For these and countless other good deeds, the town of Pittsfield, New Hampshire recently named her “Outstanding Citizen” at its annual Impact Awards Ceremony.
Her nominator, fellow Fresh Picks Café associate, Michelle Hill, says Marion is the “most kind-hearted individual I’ve ever met. She listens to the kids, she knows their stories, and she truly cares about them.”
A Pittsfield resident since 1980, Marion is a beloved community role model. Well known by adults and children alike, she ran a daycare for many years before working at Fresh Picks Cafe. At the Impact Awards Ceremony this past December, she shared the spotlight with other students, local business people and community leaders who were recognized for going above and beyond to make Pittsfield the rallying town it’s known to be.
“Going above and beyond is just what we do here at Fresh Picks Café,” says Pittsfield Food Service Director, Kevin Crossan. “We’re thrilled for Marion. The recognition is well deserved.”
